If you have an Android 2.2 (FroYo) based mobile smartphone (like Google Nexus One), you can now control your Android phone just by speaking, i.e. through your Voice. For this, you need to download Android mobile app, called “Voice Actions”.




Features provided by Voice Actions
  • Send Text Messages : No time to type the SMS, you can send a text by saying “send text to [recipient] [message]*”.
  • Get Directions : You can even get directions just by speaking out to your phone. To get directions, Say “navigate to [address/city/business name]“.
  • Call Contacts : To make a call, use the format, Say “call [contact name] [phone type]*”
  • View a Map — If you want to see a map of a state or a city, speak out in the format; “map of [address/city]
  • Write a Note : Getting your notes typed out as you speak is another feature; Say “note to self [message]
  • Listen to Song :Yes, you can also play a song just by following the format “listen to [artist/song/album]
  • Call Businesses : In order to call a Business, Say “call [business name] [location]*
  • Send Email : If you want to get an email typed out as you speak out, Say “send email to [recipient] [subject]* [body]*
  • Surf Website : You can also launch the browser and go to a website by saying “go to [website]“.
  • Search Google : You can do a quick google search by saying “[your query]
